AUTHOR SELECTION GALA 2014 (Thursday – January 16, 2014)
It is with great pride that the Claire’s Day committee held the 3nd Annual Author Selection Gala. This special reception encouraged schools to “vote” for their favorite authors and illustrators. The fun voting and “election” took place at the Main Library on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Toledo Main Library, in the Children’s Program Room from 5:30 -6:30 PM.
Each school represented at the gala casted their votes to select the author or illustrator for a school visit on Thursday, May 15 or Friday, May 16, 2014 (depending on author availability). During the evening of the reception, Claire’s Day committee members randomly drew school entries, and the schools selected their author or illustrator.
